This is a county run facility but the service here is way above the par! The staff is caring and a lot of the staff is here for many many years. They don't advertise but by word of mouth we found this place. The interior was finished with a view of a town.
There were some family members that did not like the facility we chose and at times the discussion became heated. We were all emotional at time and we had a tough time picking one place. The facility we chose has twenty four hour nursing care and that was one of the big selling points. The facility has been in operation for over 30 years and the reviews we found online were mostly positive. All of us wish grandma could have stayed at home however she can no longer live without assistance. The County Board and County Executive are committed to promoting the goal of providing equal employment opportunities.

My Mom has been a resident at Sunny Hill for the past 4 years and in my opinion they do an outstanding job of caring for their residents in a clean and vibrant facility. Having recently completed a total remodel, the facility is clean, bright and sunny from the moment you walk through the front door. The activities are excellent and appropriate to all interests. The administration is top notch ensuring the safety and security of the residents in this Resident Centered facility. The aide that takes care of my aunt's room has been there for 15 years, which I think is a long time, which says something about the place. They also have alternative menu every day, like they can have hotdog, grilled cheese, or chicken fingers.

Finally, but by now dad had viral pneumonia, heart damage, crazy elevated blood pressure, still a UTI dad was still not eating or getting any nutrition. Dad got the medication he needed but it was to late. Dad passed during the early hours of the morning he was going to come home on hospice. Yes, my father had a good long life but to see him not get the medical treatment he could have had when he was initially diagnosed he could have had a chance. His mind was sharp, he knew the staff and administrator Maggie personally.

When I finally got dads nurse on the phone he was declining rapidly. He was treated for a UTI but nothing for covid and was sent back to Sunny Hill on oral antibiotics. He continued to decline and I wouldn''t have even known until I persistently called the unit and the nurse said she didn''t have time to update me. My dad couldn''t eat or drink so how was he able to take his them. So called the nurse manager and again being aggressive got dad to Silver Cross hospital.
